Stroke rehabilitation is critical in helping patients regain lost skills, relearn tasks and work towards independence again. We build the programme around the brain’s capacity to recover, using a comprehensive team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists rather than a single discipline working alone.
Depending on which parts of the brain the stroke affected, rehabilitation can help with movement, speech, strength and daily living skills. The plan is different for a patient in week one than for a patient in year three, and we treat both.
